Tony Schiavone became the senior pastor of Cornerstone in 2012. He answered the call from God to rebuild and equip a small community of Christ followers of about 50 people that focused on helping others pursue a growing relationship with Jesus. From the beginning, Cornerstone has focused on building relationships with those who do not know God personally and growing in maturity through relationships. The life-giving message of the Gospel, the celebration and joy of Sunday services, and the simple, authentic style of Cornerstone brought immediate growth.
The church has moved from one service to two services; merged with Monticello Wesleyan church; expanded its store-front facilities for more children’s ministry space; and created a second worship venue due to increased church attendance over the years. However…
Doesn't tell the whole story. Changed lives are what drive the leadership at Cornerstone. We have seen many people over the years surrender their lives to Jesus, take their next step in being baptized, and discover their purpose through serving others.
Cornerstone continues to be a place where we are striving to grow deeper in our faith, walk in community together, give generously, serve others selflessly, and LIVE SENT.
